CinderBio was borne from foundational research in the Yannone Lab at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and is the only enzyme company that produces HyperThermoacidic Archaeal (HTA) enzymes which function optimally in near-boiling acidic conditions.

Innovations rooted in volcanic biology
Our story begins with the elements of a volcano: heat, sulfur, and water. These elements form solfataric habitats where Archaea evolved to thrive. By learning from the unique properties of these Archaea and applying some really cool science, we were able to discover the HTA-Proteases and other volcanic enzymes we are offering for Proteomics.
